Some people have strong opinions about the amount of spacing that should occur after a sentence in a document, but Microsoft Word 2013 defaults to the assumption that one space is correct. So if you would like to use two spaces between sentences in your documents then you can tell Word that you want it to check for that. One of the options you have lets you define the amount of white space that should be included after a period.
